I had a plat of shrimp, a kabob, egg roll, cheese, and vegetables. The suite on the fifteen floor offered appetizers in the butlers lounge and complementary breakfast in the butlers lounge. I loved that they offered Starbucks coffee. I think it would be cute to put something together like this for the guest bedroom. It had all kinds of goodies and it reminded me of living in Detroit. MotorCity hotel social media team put together a Detroit gift basket for me. I was surprised to be welcomed with a special gift.

One was the bedroom and one was the living/kitchen area. The hotel was so clean, spacey, and luxurious. The lights were so unique and I found myself staring at them for way longer than the normal person. I know it’s a weird thing to be obsessed with, but their lighting was awesome. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and casinos this room was definitely in the top five. I loved how tall the ceilings were and the view of Detroit was incredible. MotorCity hooked me up with a suite on the fifteen floor.

There was no need to stay at the casino when I lived in Detroit, but now I had an excuse. I’ve been itching to go back since I moved to North Carolina. When I was living in Detroit, I used to go to the casino at least twice a week.

We drove up to Detroit Thursday and got to the MotorCity Casino Hotel late in the afternoon. We are all sitting around the living room eating pizza and watching Oculus (scary movie that will most likely end poorly). I finally found the time to fit in more blog posts about my trip.
